Last Dollar Scholarship
ACCESS provides Last Dollar Scholarships to Boston Public High School students who submit their financial aid applications and find their financial aid award does not entirely cover their need. ACCESS scholarships help to bridge the remaining financial gap. They are need-based and renewable each year that you remain in college, for up to 6 years. The average unmet need for eligibility for this scholarship is between $500 - $4500; scholarships amounts range from $200 - $2250. Similar amounts will likely apply to the 2008-2009 year.

The eligibility requirements are:

• Boston Resident
• 2008 Boston Public High School graduate
• Submitted a 2007 FAFSA
• Accepted to a two-year/four-year college or technical school
• A U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen as specified on the FAFSA
• Not convicted of possessing or selling illegal drugs
• Selected a college that you plan to attend
• Met with an ACCESS advisor
• Meet the June 12, 2008 application deadline

Last Dollar Scholarship Renewal
A renewal application is required for prior ACCESS Last Dollar Scholarship recipients who would like to renew the scholarship for the upcoming school year. Scholarships are renewable for up to six years. The amount you receive may change from year to year based on your current enrollment status and the amount of unmet financial need.
