During that time, Monica has served as the advisor for Brighton High School, Boston International High School, East Boston High School, and City on a Hill Charter School. Monica feels fortunate to be part of an organization that is so passionate about empowering young people to achieve college success. She has enjoyed getting to know students and families, connecting with school staff and local non-profits, and helping to make an impact in the lives of Boston youth. Monica joined ACCESS after two years with the Citizen Schools Teaching Fellowship in Boston, where she worked as an after-school educator at the Rogers Middle School in Hyde Park supporting student academics and enrichment. She also served as the College Counseling Intern at City on a Hill, assisting seniors throughout the college application, financial aid, and scholarship search process. Monica is a graduate of Bates College where she studied psychology and education. |
